Major Improvements in Transportation and Infrastructure
The transport sector is a key priority for the Sindh government. Additionally, efforts to improve the Karachi Circular Railway are underway to alleviate traffic congestion in the city.
To further improve public transport, Sharjeel Inam Memon announced plans to add 40 new stops to the People’s Bus Service within the next two months. He also introduced a new law for vehicle fitness checks at designated centers, aimed at reducing pollution and ensuring better-quality vehicles on the road.
Focus on Public Service and Economic Growth

Challenges and Opposition Criticism
Sharjeel Inam Memon also addressed challenges posed by opposition parties, particularly Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which he criticized for protests and civil disobedience actions that, according to him, have delayed progress and caused financial losses. He claimed that the funds lost in these disruptions could have been used for the rehabilitation of the people.
Positive Outlook for Sindh’s Future
Despite the challenges, Sharjeel Inam Memon remains optimistic about the future of Sindh’s economy. The growing interest from international investors, coupled with ongoing efforts to attract companies like Yutong (the world’s largest transport company) to set up a plant in Karachi, is expected to create new jobs and provide better public transportation options.
In conclusion, Sharjeel Inam Memon reiterated the PPP government’s commitment to improving public services, attracting investment, and creating opportunities for Sindh’s residents. “We are focused on solving the people’s problems, not just on criticizing,” he said.
