NAWABSHAH – First Lady and Member of the National Assembly, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, visited the flood-affected village of Mirza Farrukh Beg in Taluka Daur, Shaheed Benazirabad District, as part of the Sindh Government’s ongoing efforts to rehabilitate displaced communities.
Accompanied by Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Bibi Aseefa visited newly constructed homes under the Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees program — recognized as the world’s largest free housing initiative.
During the visit, she distributed ownership certificates to female beneficiaries, formally handing over legal titles to their new homes. The interaction was deeply personal, with women homeowners sharing their stories, ongoing challenges, and the progress made in rebuilding their lives. Bibi Aseefa listened attentively, assuring them of continued support.
“On Behalf of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, I have come to give you these ownership certificates,” she said. “Today, you have your own roof, your own home — with full ownership rights. In doing so, I have fulfilled the promise made by my grandfather, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.”
The event underscored the Pakistan People’s Party’s generational commitment to social welfare, women’s empowerment, and the long-standing Bhutto legacy of service to the underprivileged.
