KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the Sindh Job Portal (SJP) — a fully digital recruitment system designed to make government hiring transparent, efficient, and merit-based across all provincial departments.
Speaking at the launch ceremony at the CM House, Shah said the initiative embodies Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s vision of “Benazir aayi hai, rozgar laayi hai,” connecting Sindh’s youth directly with employment opportunities.
Developed by the Science and Information Technology Department in collaboration with Sukkur IBA University, the SJP marks a major leap toward e-governance and digital public service. It offers an end-to-end recruitment process — from job advertisements and applications to interviews, offer letters, and verifications — all online.
Key features include:
- AI-based job matching and voice-enabled search in Urdu, Sindhi, and English
- Instant results after tests and monthly exams
- Fully verified digital profiles with academic and identity documents
- Integration with Health and Police Departments for online verification
- SMS, email, and portal notifications for candidates at every stage
Over 326,000 candidates have already passed the SJP screening tests, with the Sindh government funding the first exam attempt for all applicants. Departments can now post vacancies instantly after Finance Department approval, ensuring no delays and eliminating previous bottlenecks.
Through automation, the recruitment cycle has been cut from 12 months to just one, making the SJP a model for transparent, technology-driven public employment in Pakistan.
